: Naked Time!
Yeah, I just got back from my modeling appointment in Dayton. There is nothing like sitting completely naked in a room full of old people. Actually, it was easier to hold still than I thought it would be. They had me do 60 second "gestures" for about half an hour then a longer pose for the remaining hour and a half. I did it in half-hour shifts, and they taped around where my hands and feet went so I could get up and walk around. The artists represented me in alot of different ways, some were quite feminine and others were obviously male (except for the boobs, lol). One thing was pretty clear though: got to lose some serious poundage. All in all, it was a very interesting experience, I wasn't nearly as uncomfortable as I feared and the hardest part was taking off my robe for the first time. After that, it was more or less like... "Well they've already seen it now." All the artists were very professional and kind. They were all middle aged or older, I think one guy must have been pushing seventy. For the first half hour or so, he sat there eating fast food and staring at me. That was a little wierd. Made $35 though, so I'm not compaling too hard. They also has cookies and tea. Bonus.
China Trip Update: Spoke to the program coordinator on the phone today. I will be sharing a room with another guy who will be made aware of my situation. She recommends that while I am there, I pass exclusively as a male and don't mention my biological sex. China is a lot more conservative about things like that than America. Not to say that they don't have trans persons in China, it's just that it's taboo to discuss matters of sexuality.
